Helping you create your Profile
By the side of a lot of the boxes in the Profile we have provided a help icon - click the blue circle with a white i inside it. These notes try to tell you what should be in each box, or should not be there.
In addition see the Artistes Info menu section and particularly Why a Profile is Important which has a lot of help for you.
Polease is trying to maintain a standard across all ArtisteZone members Profiles, so that one person does not gain an advantage by advertising their skills on the front page of their Profile. As I am sure you will recognise, this would soon become a silly race between some people trying to out do the others. Therefore, the front page is to only contain brief details of the person.
The Physical page is what it says - the physical charateristics of that person, particularly needed because Polease is offering people in uniform, so the details are needed to make sure the correct sized uniform is avaialble for you for whatever production job you get.
And then we provide Credits/Work experience pages broken down into the normal visiual arts industry categories.....and into these you put your work experience - this is a list of the productions you have appeared in, so that AD's etc can gauge whether you are likely to suit the roles they have vacancies for.
Please remember that the whole purpose of the AristeZone Profile is to help you get work from TV, Film, Video productions or Internet/Photo shoots. ArtisteZone is visited by 2nd & Casting Directors - we know this because they have told Polease how much they appreciate the consistant approach and appearance of the Profiles. Your Profile will also be used by Chris Hipkiss to identify a likely candidate for a role, when he has number of roles to fill.
Therefore, the only things that should be on it are things that are going to help you get those Supporting Artiste/Actor roles. For instance staing you can speak English is important so is any ability to speak in a foreign language or accent.....the role could be a speaking one or they expect you to mouth speech and look convincing. Playing chess is a visual thing so is relevant, blogging/social netowrking is not a visual thing so is not relevant.
Finally, it was decided when ArtisteZone was first created that lists of skills etc would be a lot more visually appealing than large blocks of text. Remember your audience - 2nd AD's, Casting Directors & Chris Hipkiss do not have time to read large blocks of text. They all need to scan very quickly the details offered and determine whether you will meet (or not) their role needs.
